Lexical results
Topical Dictionary retrieves definitions, parts of speech, and examples through WordsAPI, accessed through the RapidAPI platform. Results remain subject to the provider’s availability, coverage, usage rules, and underlying data rights.
What is sent during a search
The word or short term you search is sent to the lexical service so it can return matching results. Your complete dictionary, account password, and unrelated saved words are not part of a normal definition request.
Accuracy and selection
Language is contextual. A result can be incomplete, outdated, or unsuitable for a particular technical, legal, medical, or local use. Review the meaning before saving it. You can edit your saved entry to reflect the context in which you encountered the word.
Your saved entries
When you add a result to a dictionary, the selected entry becomes part of your saved content. You remain responsible for how you use, edit, quote, or redistribute that content. Bulk extraction or redistribution of provider data is not permitted through the app.
